AL BAHR ISLANDERS SHRINE CLUB
Chartered 1982
About Us

Islanders Shrine Club is one of many subordinate organizations of Al Bahr Shrine.  As such, it supports the goals, objectives programs and activities of Al Bahr Shrine and all the other clubs and units.  Islanders is a social club, promoting charitable programs and events and encouraging fellowship among its members.

Since Islanders activities are focused    on the culture of the Philippines and other Pacific Islands, the majority of the club's members are Filipinos or people with ties to Filipinos and interests in the Pacific Rim.  Typical Islanders meetings offer an opportunity to overhear conversations in Tagalog (a major Filipino language) and enjoy Filipino foods during the social time before meetings.  By maintaining the  Jeepney for public exposure in parades and other Shrine events, the Islanders are able to reflect the spirit of the Philippines and encourage a broader recognition of the people and lifestyle of the Pacific.

Regular meetings for Islanders are scheduled on the third Saturday of each month, except for July and August.  Special events include and annual picnic and a major fundraiser, such as luau.

For the information of all Nobles,  Shriners Village is the new web community for Shriners only and www.beashrinernow.com is a membership marketing campaign.  Both sites are live and we invite you to visit them:
